Originally from upstate New York, Andrew graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Oswego. He then relocated to Baltimore where he achieved Cum Laude honors again at the University of Baltimore School of Law and the Merrick School of Business, earning a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration concurrently in just three years.
Andrew launched his legal career as a public servant where he worked as Assistant State's Attorney in Anne Arundel County. As a prosecutor, he gained extensive courtroom experience, successfully trying cases before both judges and juries to secure convictions for a wide range of crimes. A notable achievement was his prosecution of the "Jockey Murderer," where his efforts led to a first-degree murder conviction and 50 year sentence of a former racehorse jockey for the stalking, stabbing, and killing of a woman after a bar dispute.
After several years of serving the people of Anne Arundel County, Andrew’s career path transitioned him over to private practice in an Annapolis law firm. There, his skills led him to defending doctors and hospitals in multimillion-dollar lawsuits with jury trials across Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia, where he routinely found success through his efforts in defending medical malpractice cases.
Driven by the profound impact of witnessing the devastating consequences faced by patients and their families due to medical malpractice, Andrew recognized the need to advocate for the victims rather than big business. Having gained critical knowledge from his experience working with large insurance companies, he now leverages this understanding to empower his clients who have fallen victim to nursing home abuse and medical malpractice. Andrew's commitment to justice and his empathy for the victims guide his mission to secure compensation for the injured and hold negligent parties accountable.
Andrew's exceptional legal skills have been consistently recognized by Super Lawyers, receiving the prestigious distinction of 'A Rising Star' in Maryland yearly since 2014 through 2021 and most recently as a Super Lawyer from 2022 through present. He has also been acknowledged for his outstanding achievements and professionalism from a number of other legal associations, including being awarded with the prestigious Top 40 Under 40 designation by The National Trial Lawyers in 2017 to 2022. Additionally, the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys voted to include him among the Top 10 Personal Injury Attorneys Under 40 in Maryland. He has also received numerous accolades and honors from his peers, but most importantly from his grateful clients through positive testimonials, earning his reputation in the Maryland community as a trusted legal professional for victims of personal injuries.
Andrew's admittance to the Multi-Million Dollar and Million Dollar Advocates Forum is another notable accomplishment demonstrating his successful efforts fighting for his clients, as Maryland's legal environment is marked by tort reform restrictions available to victims for their noneconomic damages. As a certified life member, he has joined the ranks of the most successful trial lawyers in the United States, with less than 1% of U.S. lawyers attaining this prestigious recognition. His inclusion in this group is a quantifiable testament to his hard-fought efforts in obtaining multi-million dollar verdicts, awards, and settlements for his clients.
Beyond fighting for his clients, Andrew indulges in his upstate New York heritage by actively participating in local ice hockey leagues. While he strives to enhance his golf game during the summer, his shot is better suited for hockey.
Andrew lives in Annapolis with his family, including his wife Suzanne, their son Brooks, daughters Quinn and Adeline, and their beloved rescue dog, Koco, who completes their loving household.
