He is passionate about helping his clients navigate the complexities of personal injury law and ensuring they receive the justice and compensation they deserve.
Matt honed his legal skills at the University of Baltimore School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2020. While there, he actively participated in the combined University of Maryland- University of Baltimore Advanced Trial Advocacy program, further developing his courtroom presence and strategic thinking. He also served as a Rule 19-217 Attorney in the Criminal Practice Clinic, gaining valuable experience handling criminal matters at both the District and Circuit Court levels.
Prior to joining Burnett Injury Group, Matthew was a trial attorney at the Law Offices of Henley & Henley. His work there focused on criminal/traffic defense, general civil litigation, and landlord/tenant matters, providing him with a well-rounded understanding of various legal areas. There, Matt was able to get extensive trial and courtroom experience. He also previously served as a Law Clerk at Gilman & Bedigian, working on personal injury and medical malpractice cases.
Outside of the courtroom, Matt enjoys spending time with his fiancé and their rescue dog, Kayla, in Annapolis. A former collegiate tennis player, Matt enjoys staying active, and when he is not fighting for his clients, he can be found fishing throughout the Chesapeake Bay and trying out new ways to cook his catch.
