We attend the Anne Arundel Bar Association’s annual Crab Feast and Golf Tournament every year, a cornerstone event in our legal community. We have an amazing time connecting with friends and colleagues across our local legal community.
Our team enjoys joining fellow AABA members at Galway Bay for fun-filled trivia nights annually, enjoying Irish fare while putting our general knowledge to the test. This annual event raises funds in support of the Anne Arundel County Bar Foundation’s community service programs, making it a great night for an even greater cause.
As part of a Continuing Legal Education program, Suzanne spoke alongside District Court judges and experienced attorneys on litigation skills and District Court practices, covering topics from pleading requirements to special proceedings and criminal cases. She provided practical, step-by-step guidance on how to effectively handle and try cases in the District Court—including what to do, and what not to do.
During her presidency year, Suzanne and her colleagues launched a fall networking happy hour that has since become an annual AABA tradition. The event brings together county judges and their clerks to warmly welcome these young lawyers into our local legal community.
As President of the AABA, Suzanne hosted a 2025 DC Getaway weekend designed to foster community and camaraderie among Anne Arundel County lawyers. The event brought fresh energy and ideas to participants’ legal careers by strengthening relationships and connections within the bar.
Each November, our office hosts a food drive benefiting the Anne Arundel County Food Bank, just in time for Thanksgiving. Together with our incredible clients, friends, colleagues, and community, we work to ensure no family or child goes hungry during the holiday season.
Every December, our office hosts a Toys for Tots drive to collect Christmas gifts for children in need. With the support of our generous community, we help ensure that every child has something special to open on Christmas morning.
Every Christmas, our team participates in the Angel Tree program, “adopting” children in need to provide gifts they’ll truly love. From favorite books to clothes in their size, we make sure each child receives something special and personal for the holidays.
Burnett Injury Group loves joining the community for a free Trunk or Treat, setting up a festive trunk to celebrate Halloween. It’s a fun way to meet local families and get into the spooky spirit with kids across Anne Arundel County.
Each year, our firm helps pack lunches for the UNbagged lunch program at The Light House, which provides around 125 meals daily to residents and community members in need. Supported entirely by volunteers and donations, this program ensures anyone who comes to The Light House hungry can receive a meal.

Every year, Suzanne and Alicen volunteer for the MAJ Women’s Caucus Weekend Backpacks program, helping pack bags that provide weekend meals for students and their families. These bags ensure children have reliable access to food when school meals aren’t available.
Suzanne and Alicen are active leaders in the MAJ Women’s Caucus, with Suzanne having served as co-chair for three years and Alicen as the current co-chair. The caucus supports women in law by promoting leadership, mentorship, professional development, and high standards of justice within the legal community.
Suzanne and Alicen represented MAJ at the UMD Law Career Fair in Baltimore, connecting with students and future attorneys. MAJ advocates for over 1,200 trial lawyers across Maryland, supporting civil justice, consumer rights, and professional development for its members.
Every May, the firm attends the MAJ Convention, the association’s premier annual event. It’s a day full of trial skills sessions, networking with colleagues statewide, and learning strategies from expert litigators that you won’t find anywhere else.
