LightHouse UnBagged Lunch Program Community Involvement

LightHouse UnBagged Lunch Program

Every February, Burnett Injury Group (BIG) volunteers in the UnBagged Lunch Program at The Light House, helping prepare meals for individuals and families in need throughout the Annapolis community. This program plays a critical role in ensuring that no one who comes through The Light House doors goes hungry.

Making a Daily Impact

The Light House distributes approximately 125 meals every day to residents and community clients who need access to food. Meals are available at any time, ensuring immediate support for those experiencing food insecurity. The UnBagged Lunch Program is made possible entirely through the generosity of volunteers and donors.

How the Program Helps

Through this annual volunteer effort, BIG helps:

  • Pack lunches for individuals and families in need
  • Support a program that provides consistent, reliable access to meals
  • Assist an organization addressing a critical community need
  • Ensure that food is available to anyone who arrives hungry

Why This Work Matters

Programs like UnBagged Lunch highlight the importance of community involvement and compassion. By volunteering year after year, BIG supports The Light House’s mission to provide dignity, care, and essential services to members of our community facing food insecurity.
