Every July, Burnett Injury Group proudly hosts a Pajama Drive benefiting the Luminis Health Pediatric Emergency Department at Anne Arundel Medical Center. The drive helps provide comfort to children and families facing unexpected hospital visits by collecting new pajamas, clothing, and stuffed animals. A simple donation can make a child feel a little more comfortable during what is often a stressful and uncertain time.
The Luminis Health Pediatric Emergency Department cares for children of all ages throughout Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, providing compassionate medical care when families need it most. Hospital stays can be overwhelming, especially for young patients, and comforting items like soft pajamas, cozy clothing, and stuffed animals can help children feel more at ease during their treatment.

Our July Pajama Drive is made possible through the generosity of our clients, neighbors, friends, and community partners who come together to support children receiving medical care. Every donation represents an act of kindness that helps brighten a child’s hospital stay and reminds families they have the support of their community during difficult moments.
Community members are invited to donate new items with tags attached throughout the month of July. Donations can be dropped off at Burnett Injury Group’s office Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What started with a single collection box quickly grew into two overflowing bins as contributions kept pouring in well past our deadline. We were deeply moved by how our community stepped up. Clients, coworkers, family members, colleagues, and neighbors showed incredible generosity. Some clients mailed in packages, and family members even traveled an hour and a half just to hand-deliver items. Nobody brought just one item—everyone went above and beyond. We collected pajamas and cozy gear for kids of all ages, from newborn onesies to teen sweatpants, T-shirts, underwear, and an overwhelming amount of sweet stuffed animals.
When we delivered the donations directly to the LHAAMC Pediatric ER, the medical staff was blown away by the turnout. The doctors and nurses expressed immense gratitude, sharing how much these items will mean to young patients. A soft pair of pajamas or a plush toy can bring a touch of comfort, warmth, and home to children facing a scary moment in the hospital. Thank you to everyone who made this drive such a success!
