Community Involvement 
From March 1–2, 2025, Suzanne Burnett, as President of the Anne Arundel Bar Association (AABA), hosted the DC Getaway Weekend, a unique event designed to foster community, camaraderie, and professional growth among the Lawyers of Anne Arundel County.
The DC Getaway provided an opportunity for attorneys to step away from their daily routines, connect with colleagues, and share ideas in a relaxed, engaging setting. Suzanne designed the event to bring new energy and fresh perspectives to participants’ legal careers, emphasizing the importance of mentorship, collaboration, and networking within the bar.
During the weekend, participants enjoyed a combination of professional development, social networking, and team-building activities. By connecting in a meaningful way outside the courtroom or office, lawyers were able to strengthen relationships that support both personal and professional growth.
